Nat Lynn Profile

Name:
Nat Lynn.

Occupation:
Photographer and Owner of MILQUE Photography

How many years have you been taking photos?
8 years.

As a child, what did you want to be growing up?
A model.

How did you get into photography?
I studied photography at school and when I said I wanted to work in the industry, I was told that I would never be good enough. ( I lived in  small country town).  Following on from that, I then worked as a model both in Australia and internationally for 12 years.  Eventually I moved onto being a fashion stylist for 5 years working behind the scenes, but what I really wanted to be was the person taking the photos.  One day I finally bit the bullet and here I am.

How long have you been photographing weddings?
I have been working as a fashion and advertising photographer 8 years and started photographing weddings 3 years ago.

What was it like photographing your first Wedding after working in fashion?
I was very fortunate that my very first wedding was for Darren & Loren Lockyer. I must admit that on that day, I learnt how completely different the two industries are but at the same time this was when I fell in love with photographing REAL people.

Favourite thing about your job?
Capturing the beauty inside of people that shines out of couples when they are in love. You can never create that with models.

What is the most common thing couples ask you?
That they want to be captured naturally.

Do you have any destination weddings coming up and if so, where are you heading?  Yes I have two coming up very soon. One is at The Bvlgari Resort, Bali (one of my favourite wedding destinations to photograph) and I currently cannot reveal the other location as of yet because it is a celebrity wedding :)

Most favourite place in the world?
Now that is hard, as I am a keen traveller. It depends what mood im in.
New York for Shopping, India for Culture and documentary photography, Italy for Love.

Favourite food?
Creme brulee.

4 words to describe you:
Down to earth, a good friend, motivated, damn hard worker.
